Inspired by a true story and shot in a real prison, 3000 Nights tells the story of a newlywed Palestinian schoolteacher who is arrested on false charges and incarcerated in an Israeli prison where she gives birth to a baby boy. Through her struggle to raise her child behind bars, she finds the strength to survive and maintain hope.
Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Mai Masri, 3000 Nights was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015 and won over 28 Awards worldwide. It was selected as Jordan’s Oscar submission for Best Foreign Film at the Academy of Motion Pictures and Palestine’s submission to the Golden Globe Award in 2017.
